Head Designer Suzanne Lee Sowry co-owns KOOKY, a design, manufacture, and retail company which has grown from 11 stores in 2006 when she bought the business, to 17 today, with recent openings this year (2009) in downtown Wellington (January) and Newmarket Rialto Centre (February).

Suzanne is a perfectionist. Barred from entering colouring in competitions at primary school because teachers thought her parents were helping her, Suzanne has always had intense passion for her work. This passion lead to a score of 100% for School C Art – a remarkable achievement. These days, Suzanne lives and breathes to design beautiful clothing. Her designs are now striking a resonating chord with New Zealand women.

KOOKY has its own factory and stocks only its own designs in store. You will not find KOOKY clothing anywhere else. All KOOKY clothing is designed by Suzanne with the help of her in house design team and 90% of those designs are made in the KOOKY factory.
