
Introducing Nelson Group
Nelson Group is comprised of members with a wide mixture of administrative professions including receptionists, typists, secretaries/PAs, and executive assistants.
We meet once a month for a variety of social and educational group meetings. Our meetings alternate between Nelson and Richmond on the third Tuesday or Wednesday of each month from 5.30-6.00 pm social/refreshments and 6.00-7.30 pm for our guest speaker or workshop/presentation.
As well as increasing our knowledge, meetings provide an opportunity to gain new friendships with others who can appreciate our day-to-day challenges. Support, understanding and encouragement are essential ingredients of our group.
A small fee of $5 for members and $10 for guests is charged to cover the cost of the meeting, e.g. refreshments, venue, speaker’s gift. First-time guests may attend at no cost. Guests are welcome to attend three group meetings before deciding whether they’d like to become a member.
Members enjoy a variety of library items including international and national magazines, books, seminar/workshop material, cassettes and videos. Members receive a monthly group newsletter, which is published a week to ten days before each monthly meeting, providing details of guest speaker and venue.
