President's Message - August 2010

Without A Trace…..

Nice to see the days are getting longer again and we have some sunshine in our windows during the day.  With the days being so much shorter we seem to be packing so much more into the day and lives are very busy.  I hear those that went to the 21st celebrations had a ball at the 80’s theme party and I hope from the photos you can see what the night entailed.  I had a lovely time down in Christchurch with family but it’s very, very cold down there.

Personally I am looking forward to the August meeting with Niki Gunning talking about the art of delegation which I am sure we can all learn a little something from.  After the meeting about six of the Manawatu members are heading to the AGM and Conference in Christchurch.

We are still looking to fill the position of Membership Officer for the Manawatu Group.  If you think you could help us with this role (which is not an onerous one) please contact me so we can discuss the ways in which you can do this.

We are also looking for members for the AP Day team for 2011.  What a great breakfast we had in 2010 and if you think you can make your mark on next year’s event please let me know.  This is a great professional development opportunity as well.

I look forward to reporting back to you all after Conference about the exciting year ahead for AAPNZ, I will schedule time at the September meeting to update you all.

Take Care
