Welcome To AAPNZ Marlborough

Marlborough is located near the top of the South Island just south of Picton, with Blenheim being its main township. We enjoy year-round sunshine (although the 2010 winter has given us a fair amount of rain, which should assist with the usual summer drought!), spectacular scenery, a plethora of activities - air, land, and water-based, a huge range of cuisine and beverages, and an awesome group of members.

The region offers an outdoor paradise, with native forests, trout-filled rivers, coastal tracks, sheltered bays for cruising and fishing, mountains and stunning backcountry – all easily accessible. Whether you love wine or wildlife, sea-kayaking or cruising, native bush walks or formal garden rambles, under clear sunny skies Marlborough is a great place to unwind. We have art galleries, museums, shopping, craft studios and food specialities, with numerous tours available. We are spoilt for choice with eating establishments, and indoor and outdoor activities. Accommodation is plentiful with a huge selection of both home-based B & Bs and motels and hotels, and the like.

What a great place to live ... we know and that's why we are here. Come and visit some time and discover our little place in paradise. Marlborough's group members have a diverse range of administrative skills from differing professions. If you would like to share and network with some like-minded people then why not come along to the next meeting, or join us at one of our seminars. Marlborough Group meets on the first Wednesday each month, usually held at NMIT in Budge Street (our grateful thanks to NMIT for the use of their facilities). We gather at 5.30pm for networking opportunities and housekeeping, with the main event commencing at 6pm.

A small fee of $7 for members and $10 for guests is charged to offset meeting expenses, e.g. refreshments, venue, speaker gift. Check out our up and coming events and peruse some past events.

As well as increasing your knowledge, meetings provide an opportunity to gain new friendships with others who appreciate your day-to-day challenges. Fun, support and encouragement are key components of our group.

Members enjoy a variety of library items including international and national magazines and books. Members receive a e-newsletter, which is published before each monthly meeting.

We have a very supportive list of sponsors and encourage all members to support them at every opportune time. Purchasing discounts are also offered at some local retail outlets.
