2004 MIT Scholarship Recipient - Janine's story

If someone had told me ten years ago that I would gain a Diploma in Business Administration, I would have guffawed at the thought.  Gosh, they were talking to someone who hadn’t done any form of study for over 20 years, thinking herself too old to go ‘back to school’.  How wrong I was!

Doreen Smart Scholarship - Veronica's story

In 1971 I left secondary school, intending to work for a year to earn some money so I could go to training college in Auckland to become a commercial teacher, as they were known in those days, teaching shorthand/typing.  However, for a number of reasons, this dream never eventuated. JPEG (also JPG) compresses your image to hide parts of the image that your eyes can't tell the difference between but causes the image to change slightly, depending on the compression. Images that have lots of complexity in them with similar colours throughout are good for this format. Good for website use

The main differences between the Logo/images:

GIFsupports only 256 colours (8 bits per pixel) including transparency. GIFs also support animation. This is good for Web use.

Differences between logos/images PNG

The main differences between the Logo/images:
