2013 - Chateau Marlborough (Quench Restaurant)

Come and celebrate your administration achievements of the past year. Registrations are being taken now for the Marlborough Group breakfast which is being held at 7am on  Wednesday 17 April at Chateau Marlborough! Our guest speaker this year is Rachel Rodger. An inspiration to us all, Rachel is an administrator and a fundraising phenomenon with a Facebook page called ‘Bald is Beautiful’, she has raised funds for her friend who has cancer. A former ‘Basketologist’ – Rachel knows how to have her fingers on the pulse. Come and be inspired to ‘Invest in Yourself’ and Find Your Gift!  Download your registration form now.

2012 - Drylands Restaurant

Inspirational guest speaker, Christina McKay of CPR (Coffee Premium Roast) had the audience captivated relating her business growth journey - its ups and downs.

2011 - Drylands Restaurant

Held at Drylands Restaurant in Hammerichs Road, this venue was excellent and ably accommodated the enthusiastic audience who had set their alarm clocks for the early rise! Dietmar and his staff made sure everyone was looked after and well fed!

Guest speaker, Bobbie Brown of Starship Foundation, captured the audience with her story. As Fundraising Director, Bobbie was tasked with the responsibility of raising $6 million annually. She has an independent spirit and believes that "anything is possible if you set your mind to it".

Check here for a view snaps of the day. The 2012 event will be held on Wednesday 2 May.

Administrators of the Year 2010

Held at the Clubs of Marlborough on Tuesday 27 April, attendees were enticed at the entrance by a glass of bubbly.

Guest speakers Mark & Shelly Witchalls inspired us all with their passion for working with people with disabilities. Having a daughter with autism, they have learnt to be patient, and note how people with disabilities are often not employed because of their disability. They are passionate about the work they do and look for ways to make things work using methods which are not computerised or mechanical (a favourite is using photographs to describe what is required) – they get back-to-basics by breaking jobs down into steps so anyone can do it. They now employ three people to do the job that one noisy machine did and see the satisfaction on their employees faces every day at work.

Following a lovely dinner, our next guest speaker Karen Scott encouraged us to realise our dreams and set small goals on the way to achieving them. With fear holding most of us back from achieving our dreams we were told to believe in ourselves and get outside our comfort zone.

Spot prizes were awarded throughout the night, before the moments we had been waiting for -  the announcement of our 2010 Administrator of the Year.  This year’s winners, yes winners, were Debbie Elsmore and Sharon Hansen.

Debbie works as an administrator for both Powell Contracting and Marlborough Day Spa.

Sharon is employed by the Department of Corrections.
