Differences between logos/images PNG
The main differences between the Logo/images:
PNG supports a wider range of formats from 8 bits per pixel to 24 bits per pixel. These are the mostly used today due to its flexibility and compression. So even if you enlarge it, it retains its original frame. Can be used for anything exclude web.
PNG is a format for preserving transparency around an object. It's used to layer items without having a white box around the object. Eg. below
When saving as a PNG, choose "none" - the option "interlaced" has pretty much outlived its usefulness.
Note - if you save a PNG as a JPG - it will lose its transparent quality.
Also note - you cannot save a JPG as a PNG and expect it to suddenly become transparent. You need to first delete the background of a JPG item to turn it into a PNG.
